There are many reasons persons need to have their fingerprints taken. The University of Utah Police Department provides fingerprint services to those needing fingerprints, except those needing electronic submissions.
Thursdays, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM (No appointment necessary).
Fee & Payment
The first card is $10; each additional card is $7 per card.
We can accept Visa or Master Card, check, cash or campus orders.
Checks can be made out to: University Department of Public Safety
What to Bring
Valid government issued photoID (Driver license, passport, military ID, etc.)
We use the FBI generic 10-fingerprint card. Some agencies require fingerprints to be submitted on specific cards. If your department or agency requires a special form you must bring this form with you.
Any special instructions or verification documentation that may be required by the entity.

Hours: Tuesday to Thursday 9 a.m. to Noon. (beginning July 1, 2019 hours will change to 9 a. m. – 4 p.m.)
Cost: $10 per card. Applicants must supply own card(s), and any person requesting 4 cards or more must go through the Bureau of Criminal Identification (see below)
Must be a Salt Lake City resident or for an entity located in Salt Lake City.
Unified Police Department
Hours: Monday to Friday, 1PM to 3:45PM
Cost: $10 per card. Cash only, nothing larger than $20.

Bureau of Criminal Identification
West Valley, UT
(1block west of Bangerter Highway, behind McDonalds)
Hours: Monday – Thursday 7AM to 6PM
Cost: $13 for 3 cards
